Enable healthy living
Thanks to our volunteers, we have enabled over 45,000 DuPage County residents to lead a healthier life. As the number of enrollees is growing, so is the need for volunteers. By volunteering your time, you are improving the welfare of the DuPage community.
The following are volunteer opportunities:
Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with Access DuPage and the DuPage Community Clinic. Nurse volunteers are a key component of service delivery at DuPage Community Clinic. Nurses can volunteer to assist in rooming patients and serving patients needing both primary and specialty care services. We need nurse volunteers at both Wheaton and Westmont locations virtually every day, with needs on some evenings and Saturdays as well. Please let us know of your interest so we can contact you for more information!
If you are a prospective physician or nurse practitioner volunteer, please visit the Provider Section of our website (at the top of the page)to learn more about how to participate and submit your interest electronically. If you would prefer, you may also reach call one of the following contacts for more information. You may call the Access DuPage Manager of Physician Relations, Suzanne Royer at 630-510-8720 X 216 or firstname.lastname@example.org or you can reach out to Yessica Cabrera, Director of Volunteers at DuPage Community Clinic at 630-384-8212 or email@example.com
Volunteers who wish to help with our pharmacy services may provide clinical or administrative assistance. We are always seeking dedicated pharmacists or pharmacy technicians who might be able to provide onsite support at the dispensary at the DuPage Community Clinic’s Wheaton location. However, we are also seeking individuals who are interested in helping patients and staff to complete drug assistance applications. Volunteers for this role do not need to have prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry. They simply need to have some dedicated time to give, ideally several times a month or greater. The role might involve working directly…
A fundraising assistant would be responsible for planning our annual fundraising events, as well as smaller events throughout the year.
Creative, enthusiastic, well organized, leadership experience is always a plus, and computer skills are desired
Access DuPage would love the assistance of a graphic designer interested in volunteering for periodic office projects or publications. Another area of great need would be assistance with website maintenance and updates. The position is flexible, but at least 4 hours each month is preferred.
Computer skills are required, and creativity is advantageous.
As you might imagine, both Access DuPage and DuPage Community Clinic have lots of paperwork to complete in service of taking good care of enrollees in our programs. Office volunteers provide invaluable assistance with office work, including making copies, preparing materials for mailing, and filing. They might also help to answer phones, complete special projects, or provide other general administrative support. Depending on skill level some projects may require more initiative and follow through.
Computer skills, while always desirable, are not required. Bilingualism is a great asset but also not a requirement.
